Announced during the previous meeting of the Heads of state and the government of the African Union, the passport delivered by the UA is from now on a reality.
The Chadian president Idris Deby and Rwandan president Paul Kagamé were the first ones to receive the aforementioned document in the opening of the 27th summit of the Pan-African organization in Kigali.
Other Heads of state, senior officials and Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the African Union should also receive their passport during the summit.
THE UA hopes to see African countries delivering the passport to the ordinary citizens by 2018.
