The Tanzania Court of Appeal of appeal has upheld the life sentence of a man who sodomised primary school boys.
The convict, Mbaga Julius, was found guilty of violating the pupils after luring them with rice buns and smoking bhangs, an edible preparation of dagga.
A group of street kids aided the convict in the crimes.
The violations happened in 2012 at Lake View area in Nyamalembo village, Geita Region northwest of the East African country. Six boys were molested. The Court of Appeal has dismissed the appeal by Julius, who had lodged a complaint against his conviction the District Court and the High Court.
The appeal court upheld the conviction on three out of five counts he was previously found guilty of, as were proved beyond reasonable doubt.
